About the Role

Job Responsibilities

NIL Expertise and Leadership: Serve as the primary NIL lead for the enforcement staff by providing expertise and leadership on NIL trends and activities. This position will serve as a liaison to the NCAA Eligibility Center, academic and membership affairs, leadership development and/or other NCAA departments or groups and may also supervise staff.
Investigations and Processing: Serve as the primary development lead for NCAA Bylaw 19 investigations related to NIL by identifying and analyzing actionable information of potential NCAA violations, participating in interviews of individuals involved in or having knowledge of potential NCAA violations and maintaining a thorough understanding of Bylaw 19 and enforcement procedures. Additionally, manage the review of Level III/secondary violation self-reports related to NIL.
NIL Monitoring and Education: Develop and/or further expand a working knowledge of NIL and applicable NCAA legislation to effectively monitor and enforce rules compliance, which includes tracking legislative issues and topics that intersect with NIL policies or legislation, monitoring and documenting information relevant to potential or actual violations related to NIL, acting as a resource to enforcement staff members and providing assistance to administrators and coaches regarding NCAA rules compliance. Additionally, in conjunction with other stakeholders and departments, develop internal and external educational programming and/or materials related to NIL.
Relationship Management: Develop and maintain relationships with individuals in the NIL environment for the purposes of furthering understanding and identifying key issues and potential NCAA violations. This includes maintaining weekly contact with university administrators, conference offices, professional and marketing agents, coaches and other interested entities and individuals, as well as attending and engaging in activities at various conferences and events, and frequently communicating and corresponding with administrators on NIL topics.
Lead Generation: Solicit and/or receive information specific to potential NCAA violations.
Other: Other duties as assigned.

About the Company

Job Function: As an active member of enforcement's development staff, this position is primarily responsible for identifying potential NCAA violations while maintaining current knowledge of and monitoring trends associated with Name, Image and Likeness (NIL) specific to recruiting and college athletics, generally. This position cultivates and maintains external relationships while serving as a conduit between key stakeholders and the NCAA enforcement staff. This position also serves as a liaison to other national office departments and guides key NIL based initiatives and projects. This position will exemplify the NCAA national office beliefs of communication, collaboration, accountability, leadership and inclusion.

This position requires extensive travel, professional networking, developing and cultivating contacts, collaboration with team members and expertise in online research. Performance is measured through a combination of factors that include completion of key objectives, relationship management, investigation, and education and monitoring efforts designed to protect the integrity of NCAA athletics while strengthening enforcement's knowledge of NIL trends.
