Job Responsibilities

Provide counseling to the internal legislative staff.
Provide coverage for various regulatory matters.
Provide coverage for various contractual and procurement matters.
Provide coverage for various health and safety matters, including Title IX/sexual violence, and drug testing/appeals
Provide coverage for various third-party response matters, including subpoenas and trademark infringement.
Provide coverage for various operational matters such as privacy, compliance, vendor management, human resources, and finance.
Provide coverage for sport-specific matters.
Provide coverage for various governance matters and groups.
Other duties as assigned.

About the Company

The associate director of OLA will assist in providing legal counseling to various national office and membership client groups. The position assists in the overall service offerings covering a broad range of overflow or gap subject matters including, contracts, subpoenas, health and safety, compliance, discovery, HR, regulatory support, IP enforcement, privacy, and more. This is a true “jack-of-all trades role” and ensures additional bandwidth and increased departmental depth/breadth. This role requires flexibility, willingness to learn and lead in various subject matters, and enthusiasm for being a team player. This is a junior-level role which reports to the deputy general counsel. This job provides flexibility under the NCAA’s current hybrid attendance policy, however, relocation is required.
