About the Role:
BetMGM is seeking a seasoned Employment Counsel to advise and counsel on a broad spectrum of employment law issues. As a fast-paced, multi-state employer; BetMGM is well positioned to offer an exciting and challenging opportunity.
Provide advice and counseling on a broad spectrum of employment law issues, including recruiting, hiring, pay equity, diversity, equity and inclusion, employee relations, performance management, leaves of absence and accommodations, wage and hour, payroll, workers’ compensation, unemployment, internal investigations, discipline and terminations, compensation and benefits, employment agreements, privacy, contingent workers, independent contractors, immigration, workplace safety and OSHA, restrictive covenants, company employer registrations in various states, and remote work legal considerations.
Review company policies and practices for compliance with applicable laws and monitor changes in laws.
Conduct and/or supervise investigations and write investigative reports.
Support drafting of employment policies and procedures, employment related agreements, consulting agreements and templates.
Investigate and respond to claims, demand letters, administrative complaints, audits, and other employment related inquiries.
Manage employment litigation.
Conduct audits, employment classification reviews, and support other compliance efforts.
Perform due diligence and advise on employment aspects of transactional matters.
Inspire confidence in business clients by consistently providing well-reasoned legal advice and practical solutions to complex issues.
Exhibit a strong work ethic and take ownership of complex projects with minimal supervision while demonstrating sound judgment and superior decision-making, multi-tasking and problem-solving skills; meet prescribed deadlines.

Performs other job-related duties as assigned by the Chief Legal Officer.
