About the Role

Responsibilities
Be a part of building Sorare’s regulatory group in the US. This will include working with internal and external stakeholders to provide best-in-class legal advice
Engage in positive dialogue with government lawmakers, attorneys general, and regulators on digital assets and gaming issues
Set internal and external strategy on U.S. state laws and regulations including anticipating risks that have yet to arise
Develop a deep understanding of Sorare and what it does, so that you can help build a better way
Help build the infrastructure for Sorare to be successful in litigations. Assist or lead litigations that may happen
Be an expert or become an expert in state gaming and financial laws and regulations as they may apply to NFTs and digital assets
Have appropriate risk tolerance, the ability to communicate and advise on complex matters in clear, succinct, and understandable terms, and ability to independently take ownership over matters and make decisions in an efficient manner

As Regulatory & Litigation Counsel, you will play a crucial role in building Sorare’s government relations, regulatory, and litigation functions in our fast-growing company. You will be tackling novel legal issues around gaming, fantasy sports, digital assets, and NFTs, and a key contributor to building Sorare’s strategy around these issues. You will partner across Sorare’s functions to drive internal and external regulatory and litigation efforts, build effective and nuanced advice for the evolving U.S. state regulatory landscape for digital assets and games built on digital assets, and engage in positive dialog with state government officials and regulators to advance Sorare’s strategic objectives

This position will report into the Director of Regulatory & Litigation.
