FanDuel Group is looking to add to its legal team a Counsel for State Regulatory Compliance with 3-5+ years of legal experience to manage the provision of state legal and regulatory guidance to FanDuel; as well as managing state regulatory reporting, audits and operations in this exciting, expanding field.

This position will work with a fantastic team of legal and regulatory professionals striving to maintain FanDuel’s regulatory position for all products across the United States and assist with FanDuel’s continued innovation of those products. Reporting to FanDuel’s Director of State Regulatory Compliance, this role manages a sophisticated team of professionals and:


Provides legal and regulatory guidance to internal FanDuel team members regarding state regulatory requirements for all products in all states;
Manages state regulatory reporting regarding fraud, marketing/promotions, cybersecurity, responsible gaming, geolocation, and all other areas of regulatory interest, including ownership of all necessary documentation, auditing, controls, metrics, etc;
Manages state regulatory audits, including ownership of all documentation, controls, metrics, reporting, etc;
Manages state regulatory operations, including ownership of geolocation processes, test account approval processes, and account dormancy processes.
Engages in close partnership with the new product launch/licensing team, the federal regulatory team and the risk team to enable seamless integration of all relevant regulatory obligations, transparency and controls;
Assists FanDuel’s Director of State Regulatory Compliance with FanDuel’s engagement and relationship with State Regulators and Market Access Partners once FanDuel has launched and is actively regulated by a state;
Assists FanDuel’s Director of State Regulatory Compliance with training and communications strategy, content and delivery for state regulatory obligations.
