About the Role:

The Director, Legal/Counsel position will provide legal counsel and representation for contracts, agreements, and support functions. This role will analyze plans and reviews legal matters in accordance with company objectives and state regulatory agencies. Must demonstrate and provide outstanding customer and employee relations at all times. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, working with business team and General Counsel to ensure contracts are reviewed and executed; working with the General Counsel on department strategy and ensuring alignment with overall strategy; assisting with regulatory compliance matters; and maximizing opportunities for departmental and company success.

This role is located in Las Vegas, Nevada.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Manages contracts and agreement, including legal review, business team coordination, negotiations, and tracking; effects changes required for improvement.
Assists with departmental performance, and the accuracy, confidentiality, and thoroughness of departmental policies and procedures, records, and reports.
Monitors company activities to ensure that applicable internal policies, federal and state laws, rules, regulations and controls are complied with.
Facilitates communication by organizing and presiding over regularly scheduled meetings with team members within the department and with other departments as appropriate to ensure company-wide communication.
Keeps informed of new developments within the industry and makes recommendations designed to maximize department and company success.
Manages multiple priorities simultaneously and meets deadlines, often in stressful and high-pressure situations.
Maintains relevant knowledge of industry through continuing education and training.
Performs any other job-related duties as assigned.
