Job Responsibilities
Legal advisor on contractual matters throughout national office departments, particularly related to championships, events, sponsorships, and other business partnerships.
Legal advisor related to content licensing and related functions.
Legal advisor for new business initiatives of the Association
Legal advisor for protecting and managing the Association’s intellectual property.
Legal advisor for the formation of policy and processes related to specified championship competition and operations.
Oversight of outside legal counsel for litigation and other disputes involving business, championship, and IP portfolio.
Legal counsel to NCAA divisional regulatory groups in development and enforcement of policies and processes
Other duties as assigned.

Description
This position is the day-to-day legal liaison to several national office departments and is responsible for contract drafting and interpretation, as well as advising on legal matters in a variety of practice areas, including intellectual property, divisional governance, business performance, championships, and corporate relationships. The position also interacts with other NCAA national office departments that have need for legal analysis.
