About This Role

The Director of Licensing is responsible for setting strategy and driving results for the Players, Inc. group licensing program. The ideal candidate will be a proven leader, with a deep understanding of the licensing landscape and a track record of developing new business opportunities.

Success in this role will depend on the candidate’s ability to step in and provide effective leadership for the licensing team. They should be prepared to cultivate a culture of excellence, promoting high performance and continuous improvement.



Responsibilities

Managerial:

Lead a team of 10+ licensing managers and coordinators maintaining a portfolio of 60+ licensees and $125M+ in revenue, in categories that includes apparel, hard goods and digital.
Oversee the negotiation of business terms to ensure that licensing opportunities are the right fit for our brand.
Monitor partnership results and performance; produce quarterly reports and updates to leadership on performance of group licensing program.
Oversee the Quality Assurance Group to ensure that all products brought to market are reflective of our brand standards, and there are no instances of infringement upon our Rights.
Coordinate cross-functionally with internal departments (e.g., legal, accounting, communications) to support licensees.
Cultivate a culture of excellence, promoting high performance and continuous improvement.
