About the Role
Lead the design, development and implementation of the Club's safeguarding program and all related policies and procedures.
Ensure that all policies comply with SafeSport, US Soccer, MLS Next and other legal and regulatory bodies.
Implement Club-wide training programs and conduct quarterly and annual audits of said training programs.
Provide quality and accessible advice, support and guidance to managers and staff to ensure that safeguarding measures are integrated into the Club's operations, processes and programs.
Develop and implement policies around vetting and clearing consultants and contractors who may come in contact with minors in the Club’s programs.
Consult with other teams on best practices, policy compliance, safeguarding procedures and more.
At the Academy:
Oversee the Academy's residency program and assists players transitioning into the Academy for the first time.
Develop a rapport with players, host families, etc. to ensure all understand their obligations to safeguard minors and report concerns.
Create and implement age-group specific supports for the Academy based on what each team needs as the season progresses.
Conduct individual player welfare assessments across all age groups.
Employ social awareness and relationship management techniques with players.
Engage family members and social networks in support when relevant.
About the Company
Nashville Soccer Club is a Major League Soccer team based in Nashville, Tennessee.
Nashville Soccer Club (NSC) is looking for a motivated individual who will be responsible for promoting and protecting the rights of minors across the Club. The individual in this role will lead the development and compliance with polices promoting minor wellbeing. The Director of Safeguarding & Minor Compliance will work closely with the NSC Academy, First Team, Human Resources and Legal. This position will report to the Chief of Staff.
