The Entertainment and Sports Law Reporter will cover industry players from basement YouTubers to big egos locked in defamation battles, to sports figures fighting over contract terms and beyond. This reporter will spot trends before competitors do and be fluent with rapidly evolving content delivery platforms from a legal perspective.

About the Role

As an Entertainment and Sports Law Reporter on Reuters’ growing legal news team, you will:

Write about high-stakes court battles, rulings, and hearings daily and broader trends as they develop
Have a deep understanding of the field, established sources and an ability to write quickly and accurately and with valuable insight for legal professionals, as well as a wider audience
Stay on top of spot news and be continually pitching deeper trend and enterprise pieces
Demonstrate beat expertise and dominance
Collaborate with our data and video teams to develop initiative and multimedia stories
