ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Reviewing and drafting various agreements, waivers, consents and real estate and finance documents
Conducting legal research (Lexis/Westlaw) and drafting research memos
Working closely with business units to anticipate, identify and manage legal exposure
Reviewing and drafting legal correspondence
Assisting in the management of pending and open litigation matters and other claims
Participating in special projects as requested

ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS

Must be currently enrolled in an ABA accredited law school OR have graduated from an ABA accredited law school within the last year
Must be available to work at the Virginia Mason Athletic Center in Renton, WA no less than 40 hours per week during the Seattle Seahawks 2022 pre-season and regular season
Must have authorization to work in the United States

GENERAL INFORMATION

Position will be paid hourly unless it is structured as a for-credit internship/externship subject to ABA rules and regulations
Intern is responsible for his or her own housing, travel and relocation expenses
A background check will be conducted prior to the start of the internship
There will be no opportunity to transition into a full-time role within the Legal Department following the conclusion of the internship. This is a temporary position
