About the Role
The Legal Counsel, Litigation and Information Management will work cross-functionally to proactively mitigate the risk of litigation, advise on and analyze pre-litigation claims and litigation, manage discovery and e-discovery policies and procedures, and work to ensure that BetMGM’s information retention policies and practices comply with all applicable laws and are maintained to reflect evolving best practices.
Responsibilities
Work cross-functionally to proactively mitigate the risk of litigation
Analyze and advise on pre-litigation claims and litigation, as well as discovery and e-discovery policies and procedures
Manage outside counsel in litigation
Work to ensure that BetMGM’s information and document retention policies and practices comply with all applicable laws and are maintained to reflect evolving best practices
Perform contractual indemnity analyses
Continuously improve BetMGM’s customer terms and conditions and privacy policy
Develop training on litigation risk mitigation and maintenance of legal privilege
Manage service of process intake and issue litigation holds where appropriate
Develop a deep understanding of BetMGM’s business, and identify areas of risk and work with business teams to best position BetMGM and provide practical solutions
Exhibit a strong work ethic and take ownership of meaningful projects while demonstrating sound judgment and superior decision-making, multi-tasking and problem-solving skills; meet and appropriately prioritize prescribed deadlines

Perform other job-related duties as assigned by Associate General Counsel, Litigation and Information Management and others
