About the Role
Projects will include reviewing and negotiating commercial contracts in connection with the Sports Solutions business, providing counsel and advising internal stakeholders on transactional issues associated with new and existing commercial partnerships, and partnering with various business units to minimize legal risk while supporting growth in the emerging sports content, analytics and media markets. The role will perform a variety of legal activities in support of Sportradar’s business operations to ensure that Sportradar complies with all relevant laws and regulations, reduces risk associating with its commercial and business opportunities, and support other members of the US and Global legal teams.
THE CHALLENGE:
Manage the commercial contract portfolio for the Sports Solutions business closely in connection with Sales, Account Management, and Sales Operations, including oversight, review, and counsel for amendments, renewals, extensions, addenda, and new agreements.
Identify risks and propose alternative structures to mitigate risks involved in sales proposals and other commercial opportunities related to the Sports Solutions business.
Work in connection with the North Amreican Sports Partnerships team to interpret complex rights agreements to ensure compliance therewith in connection with monetization activities; manage day-to-day rights analysis and application to various Sports Solutions business initiatives; provide legal representation on partnership activation and rights management efforts for North American Sports Partnerships and Sports Solutions Sales.
Develop a deep understanding of Sportradar’s products and services and advise on (i) commercial contracts for the same, (ii) adjustments thereof and subsequent iterations thereof, (iii) and go-to-market strategies surrounding the same.
Collaborate with members of the Global legal team on non-US transactional matters and support where needed; advise Global sales teams on matters arising from key global accounts with US implications.
Support members of the North American Legal and business teams with licensing, compliance, government affairs, contracting process and corporate governance tasks as needed.
Participate in the definition and development of corporate policies, procedures and programs and provide continuing counsel and guidance on legal matters and on legal implications of all matters on an as needed basis and in connection with the rest of the North American Legal team.
