Provide sound and well-reasoned legal advice with respect to gaming regulatory matters in every US state where PointsBet operators or plans to operate.
Collaborate cross-functionally to anticipate legal and regulatory risks and issues relating to product offerings.
Support the Compliance and Licensing teams on the interpretation of regulatory and licensing guidelines.
Work collaboratively with and support the compliance team to anticipate and resolve any disputes concerning how regulations apply to our product offerings and business operations, engaging directly with regulators when required.
Review, advise and draft contracts and/or contractual provisions on an as-needed basis to ensure compliance with relevant sports betting, iGaming and/or casino gaming laws and regulatory requirements.
Assist and support regulatory investigations, inquiries, incidents, and escalated customer complaints regarding fraud, marketing, cybersecurity, responsible gaming, geolocation, and all other areas of regulatory interest.
Assist with training and communications strategy, content, and delivery for state regulatory compliance.
