About the Role
The Nashville Predators organization seeks a legal intern to assist with:
Drafting contracts, including but not limited to employment and third-party agreements, facilities management contracts with an eye towards standardization of best outcomes in areas such as indemnification, insurance, and liability.
Reviewing and analyzing documents relating to the Nashville Predators ticket sales, arena and/or marketing and sponsorship functions.
Ensuring compliance with federal, state and local laws and regulations, including but not limited to matters such as employment, intellectual property, immigration, and alcohol laws.
Researching and analyzing legal issues including contracts, real estate, intellectual property, employment and labor law issues, corporate strategy, structure, acquisitions, and other legal areas.
Performing contract management tasks and management of legal files.
Completing other Sports Education 101 projects and responsibilities for the legal department that may be assigned
Minimum Requirements:
The fall internship period will period will last from approximately August - December 2023
All internships are in-person; no remote opportunities are available at this time
Enrolled as a law student in good standing at an accredited, academic institution and actively pursuing a juris doctorate. 2L or 3L students preferred.
Earn academic credit for the legal internship with the Nashville Predators.

Possess great communication skills, be professional and able to multi-task.
Strong analytical and organizational skills.
Ability to handle confidential information
Proficient in Microsoft Suite Office including Word, Excel and Outlook.
Prior legal experience or experience working for a team, athletic department, or with a sporting event is beneficial.
Ability to sit for extended periods of time.
Excellent speaking and listening skills, requiring the perception of speech.
Walking, bending, and carrying of items up to 20 pounds including office supplies, laptop and other equipment or work.
As a condition of internship, qualified applicant will be subject to a background check, including a criminal history check, driving history and character references.
Ability to work extended days, hours, evenings, weekends, and holidays during the hockey season
Internships do not provide compensation, housing, or transportation
Internships do not guarantee full-time positions with the Predators upon completion
