Responsibilities
Demonstrates procedural and administrative mastery of CBA injury and non-injury grievances
Manages arbitration docket and maintains comprehensive database of grievance information
Assists in supporting Workers’ Compensation grievance process
Facilitates communication within and across the department with respect to deadlines and coverage and to department vendors, including arbitrators, with respect to scheduling and invoicing
Works under the guidance of SVP, Labor Relations to create and maintain research tools and to perform trend analysis
Assists labor counsel and law clerks to approve coaching and other club employment agreements per league rules
Processes grievance settlements
Supports the Management Council law clerk program
Maintain updates to Labor Arbitration and Law Clerk Program business process documentation
Provides technical support to labor counsel and occasionally assists with legal presentations
Assists in the data entry process of our matter management database

About the Company
The Legal Labor Coordinator handles all logistics associated with conducting and staffing grievance hearings, while also monitoring and communicating important deadlines. This person is expected to obtain familiarity with past and pending cases and decisions and to have dexterity with information management so as to allow him or her to provide a “big picture” overview of the case docket and periodically report on grievance and settlement trends to support litigation and bargaining strategies. This position also assists in the management of the NFLMC law clerk program and is responsible for approving non-player club employment agreements per league policy.
