About the Role
Media Counsel will advise the Company on legal aspects of entertainment and productions services and negotiate and draft various types of agreements. Assists in advising the Company and its affiliates on legal aspects of the media businesses (including, but not limited to, television/digital/radio content licenses, online advertising agreements, production services, software licenses).
Duties include but are not limited to:
Counsel (including research and compliance review) various business units on execution of and issues related to content licenses, digital business operations, and production services, including, but not limited to, rights and clearances/releases, copyright and fair use issues, software licenses, broadcast and other exhibition/transmission of content
Draft, review and negotiate content licenses, production services agreements, online advertising agreements, software license agreements, and other agreements
Manage various IP registration and/or portfolio processes
Provide legal advice and support to NASCAR Media Group and its affiliates
Review and draft legal correspondence
Provide legal education to business units
Special projects as needed
Approximate travel 10%
