About the Role

This is a rare opportunity for a mid-level associate to join the Law Offices of Howard L. Jacobs in our high-profile, exciting sports law practice. The firm primarily represents professional, Olympic and amateur athletes in disciplinary matters (anti-doping, SafeSport and other), team selection disputes, salary arbitration, and sports-related civil litigation (both plaintiff and defense). We are the oldest and one of the leading athlete-centered law firms in these areas of practice, representing athletes in arbitrations around the world.

The individual hired for this position will have 4-6 years’ experience in arbitration and/or litigation, and will be responsible for a large and diverse caseload with significant interactions with athlete/coach clients and athlete/coach witnesses. On arbitration matters, this position will be responsible for investigation / case management; research; drafting pre-hearing briefs and witness statements. and assisting with arbitration preparations and arbitration. On litigation matters, this position will be responsible for managing discovery requests and responses; drafting motions (and oppositions to motions); taking and defending depositions; and assisting with trial preparations and trial.
