About the Role

Position Summary: This role provides paralegal support for the league's compliance function, with supplemental support to league lawyers in the areas of litigation, employment, and other legal matters.

Major Responsibility:

Provide support to Deputy Chief Compliance Officer and NBA's global Compliance team, including: Manage intake for the third-party risk due diligence process, including document review, analysis, and drafting.
Control and operate the global online due diligence system.
Serve as a day-to-day resource for employees from all parts of the organization on compliance-related matters.
Support for the compliance digital applications.
Assist with new-hire compliance-related onboarding.
Maintain compliance-related records.
Perform compliance-related research in the areas of sanctions, anti-bribery and corruption, and improper corporate conduct.
Support for creating and implementing compliance training initiatives.
Provide support for employment-related legal work, including research on legal developments and organization and maintenance of employment-related documents and information.
Provide litigation support, including document collection and review, responding to third-party subpoenas, drafting, and maintenance of litigation case files.
Provide general support to league attorneys on special projects.
