We have an extraordinary opportunity to join our team at a Senior Attorney or Partner-level, leading our growing Sports and Gaming practice. This specialty group delivers represents professional sports teams across multiple leagues on a wide variety of legal and business issues, provides regulatory and compliance support to colleges and universities and other individuals and entities relating to NCAA legislation and NIL regulations, and serves as outside general counsel to sports-related businesses on their day-to-day legal issues. This position is open to licensed attorneys with a minimum of six years (for the Senior role) or eight years (for the Partner role) of experience. Key responsibilities may include:



Assisting to develop and execute the firm strategy for this practice area
Leading a team of attorneys and legal staff
Delivering top-line improvements by developing new client opportunities, and effective management of current client base
Maintaining a hands-on approach in the day-to-day deliverables of the practice:
Outside general counsel for professional sports teams including legal contract drafting and review including sponsorship agreements, vendor agreements, suite licenses, service agreements, media agreements, facility lease agreements, and employment and independent contractor agreements.
Representing and advising NCAA member institutions, staff members, and athletes on various compliance and regulatory matters, including NCAA enforcement cases and Title IX.
Representing and advising NCAA member institutions, businesses, athletes, and agencies on name, image, and likeness (“NIL”) issues.
Assisting the Sports and Gaming practice on other matters as needed.


Miami, Dallas, Austin, or Los Angeles preferred. We will grant a relocation bonus.
