About the Role
Job Summary
ESG Law, North America's leading esports-focused law firm, is looking for a talented, experienced attorney to support its expanded corporate and soft IP practice. This Associate will support ESG's growth in these practice areas, manage junior associates, and interface directly with the firm's largest clients.
The successful candidate must be independent, enthusiastic about esports/gaming, and demonstrate sound judgment in complex situations. The successful candidate works well within a small team and is able to work remotely on transactional and project work.
Key responsibilities include negotiating and drafting agreements, client communications, trademark searches and filings, advising on corporate structuring, and overseeing the work of more junior attorneys.
Basic Qualifications
JD and admitted to at least 1 state bar
At least 4 full years of experience practicing law
Extensive experience in at least 1 of the following areas: corporate, trademark, other soft IP, and tax.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience in a private practice with a focus on esports, sports, media & entertainment, or technology
Experience managing other attorneys
Be a passionate esports/gaming fan
