About the Role
The Senior Manager, Player Relations primarily ensures compliance with rules related to player transactions, oversees contract drafting and supports MLS Clubs in building and managing their respective rosters.
Responsibilities
Interpret and administer MLS Roster & Budget Guidelines
Draft, negotiate and review contracts for League and Clubs, including, player contracts and loan and transfer agreements for the import/export of players
Oversee MLS Club rosters and salary budgets, and advise Clubs on roster/player needs
Assist in management of day-to-day relationship with MLS Players Association and the related labor issues
Collaborate with MLS legal department on disciplinary, commercial and other matters
Assist in preparation and execution of technical committee and league meetings
Assist in preparation for major League Events (e.g., MLS Player Combine, MLS SuperDraft, MLS All-Star Week and MLS Cup)
Advise organization on legal issues and recommend course of action
