The Priority Sports team is currently looking for a recent college graduate to fulfill a one-year paid internship. We are looking for someone that is interested in working in sports, but not sure where to begin or their specific area of interest. Our intern will support all departments in the company including but not limited to: Basketball, Football, Marketing, Communications, Client Services, Accounting, Coaches & Broadcasting. He/she will gain a clear understanding of athlete representation from recruiting, training, contract negotiations, marketing and on through retirement. He/she will be exposed to all aspects of our sector within the sports industry.

Ideal candidate is a nimble team-player that is resourceful, proactive, and professional. Below is an outline of requirements and typical day-to-day duties of the internship program.

Requirements

Recent college graduate
Chicago area, local resident
Strong interest in sports, athlete representation, marketing
Efficiency in Excel, PowerPoint and Word
Must be vaccinated against Covid-19

Daily / Weekly Responsibilities

Lead our team of seasonal, college-level interns
Send out daily inter-office communications highlighting our current roster of players’ social media posts
Work with our communications team to enhance our Priority Sports social media presence and create original graphics
Email daily/weekly NBA and NFL stats to office
Assist with client service projects
Examples: booking travel for clients (car service, hotels, air), dinner reservations, community service projects
Research and compile player bios for marketing pitches
Cold calling/Cold emailing
Examples: Identify and reach out to brands interested in donating free product for gift bags for our clients and their wives. Reach out to companies to secure giveaway items at players’ camps and players’ charity events.
Assist with assembling of brochures and mailings
Assist on special projects in Photoshop, PowerPoint, Excel, etc.
Examples: recruiting materials; marketing decks; statistical analyses; etc.
Work with our football and basketball agents to help connect with possible recruits
Run errands out of the office
Answer phones
Filing
Keep a tidy workspace, and responsible for the tidiness of the work room
