Sep 27, 2022

Star defensive lineman Myles Garrett was hospitalized with non-life-threatening injuries sustained in a single-car rollover crash after practice, the Cleveland Browns confirmed Monday.

The team didn't initially provide further details on Garrett's status.

“Myles Garrett was involved in a one-car accident this afternoon after leaving the practice facility," the Browns said in a statement. "He suffered non-life threatening injuries, was transported to a local hospital and we are in the process of gathering more information.”

According to NFL Network's Tom Pelissero, Garrett was discharged from the hospital on Monday night, but he will be undergoing additional tests in the near future.

Agent: Garrett 'alert and responsive'

Garrett's agent Nicole Lynn released a statement Monday evening confirming the crash.

"While we are waiting to learn the extent of his injuries, he has been alert and responsive," the statement reads. "The Garrett family would like to thank the medical personnel that got Myles and his passenger out of the vehicle and safely transported to the hospital."
