ESPN sells out women's NCAA Tournament ads

ESPN has sold out the ad inventory for this year’s NCAA Women’s Basketball Tournament. There will be 22 advertisers for this year’s event -- 14 of which are NCAA corporate sponsors. ESPN Senior VP/Sports Brand Solutions Sean Hanrahan said he was impressed with the depth of the ad buys, with many including integrations. “The spotlight is on women’s sports as hidden gems,” he said. “Brands are starting to realize that it’s a highly engaged audience with good ratings, so why shouldn’t they be there?”

This year’s tourney tips off on ABC and various ESPN networks on March 16 and 17 with four play-in games, before concluding with the distaff Final Four on April 1 and 3 at Target Center in Minneapolis.
