Former Broncos WR Demaryius Thomas died from complications of seizure disorder, autopsy says

Aug 6, 2022

Former Denver Broncos receiver Demaryius Thomas' autopsy revealed he died from complications of a seizure disorder.

Thomas was 33 when he died Dec. 9, 2021, just over two weeks before his birthday.

It was revealed that the 10-year NFL veteran had Stage 2 chronic traumatic encephalopathy, a degenerative brain disease, at the time of his death. However, the Fulton County Medical Examiner saw no link between the two diagnoses.

CTE does not directly cause death.
