Former Notre Dame football player sues school, NCAA for negligence in concussion education

A former University of Notre Dame football defensive lineman who played on the 1988 championship team recently filed a class action lawsuit accusing the school and the NCAA of failing to warn players about the dangers of concussions.

The suit, filed by Richard Morrison last month, alleges Notre Dame and the NCAA “recklessly disregarded" information related to the medical dangers of concussions and head injuries to "protect the very profitable business of ‘amateur’ college football."
