Fernando Tatis Jr. has been suspended. Josh Hader has been a bust. On Wednesday, Juan Soto left Wednesday's game against the Arizona Diamondbacks after being hit by a pitch.

Fortunately for Soto, the Padres don't expect him to miss much time. Manager Bob Melvin told reporters after the 6-3 San Diego win that Soto sustained a shoulder contusion and hopes that he can return to action on Friday against the Los Angeles Dodgers after a day off on Thursday.
