NFL adjusts COVID-19 guidelines, reducing quarantine period from 10 days to 5

On the heels of the CDC’s new guidelines that have shortened the window of isolation for individuals who have tested positive for COVID-19, the NFL and NFL Players Association agreed on Tuesday to shorten the amount of time that team personnel will have to quarantine.

In accordance with the CDC recommendation to shorten the period of isolation from 10 days to five days, the NFL will now allow individuals who are asymptomatic to return after five days.
