NFL defends controversial taunting penalty on Bears LB Cassius Marsh

After Cassius Marsh of the Chicago Bears was called for a taunting penalty that extended the Pittsburgh Steelers' drive on which they kicked a game-winning field goal, the NFL stood by referee Tony Corrente's decision to throw the flag on Monday.

NFL senior vice president of officiating Perry Fewell explained why in a video posted online Wednesday reviewing calls from the prior week.
