NFL seeking over $1 billion from insurers in concussion litigation coverage

But there is another case, this time with the NFL as plaintiff, that fits that bill. Since 2012, the NFL has litigated against a group of insurers to cover the concussion settlement and related litigation. Through all that time, and roughly 800 filings, it’s been unclear how much the NFL is seeking. Until now.
