Ninth Circuit affirms dismissal of concussion lawsuit against Pop Warner

Sep 10, 2021

The Ninth Circuit upheld a ruling in favor of Pop Warner Little Scholars in a suit brought by parents who claimed playing Pop Warner football caused their sons' brain damage, which resulted in them having suicidal thoughts or engaging in reckless behavior that ultimately led to their untimely deaths.

The plaintiffs’ experts only showed that Pop Warner could have caused their deaths, but didn’t explain why it likely caused them.
