PAC-12 GAMES END BUT NCAA UNCERTAINTY KEEPS IT GOING

May 27, 2024

Saturday night featured what appears to be the last Pac-12 tournament game, but as a defendant in unresolved antitrust litigation, the conference might not be going away anytime soon.

The Arizona Wildcats defeated the USC Trojans 4-3 to capture the Pac-12 baseball conference title. The game, held at Scottsdale Stadium in Arizona, is likely the last Pac-12 game for a conference that began in 1915 and has produced some of the greatest athletes in American history. Kareem Abdul-Jabbar, Bill Walton, Phil Mickelson, Jackie Joyner-Kersee, Barry Bonds, John Elway, Annika Sörenstam, Lisa Leslie, Ed O’Bannon, Tiger Woods, Reggie Bush, Kelsey Plum and many other acclaimed athletes all played in the Pac-12.
