Provide legal advice, guidance, and support on a wide range of legal matters related to the FIFA World Cup 2026, including contracts, compliance, intellectual property, regulatory issues, and access to information requests.
Review, draft, and negotiate various agreements, contracts, and legal documents relating to a wide range of event-related matters.
In collaboration with Legal Compliance Counsel, implement and maintain a comprehensive legal compliance program to ensure adherence to relevant laws, regulations, and FIFA policies – including data privacy, anti-corruption, and labor regulations.
Develop and implement comprehensive compliance programs, policies, and procedures aligned with legal, ethical, and regulatory standards for the FIFA World Cup 2026.
Oversee the development of reporting mechanisms and whistleblower channels for reporting unethical behavior or violations.
Manage compliance documentation, records, and reporting to maintain transparency and accountability.
• Foster a culture of ethical behavior, integrity, and accountability across the organization by promoting compliance awareness and education.
Keep abreast of changes in relevant laws and regulations and advise of needed policy or procedure updates accordingly.
Provide legal guidance and support to other departments within FIFA World Cup 2026 organization, including operations, marketing, commercial, finance, and human resources.
Manage and mitigate legal risks associated with the tournament, including potential disputes, intellectual property infringements, and regulatory compliance issues.
Develop and maintain a thorough understanding of FIFA's statutes, regulations, and governance framework, and ensure compliance with FIFA's policies and guidelines.
Stay updated on legal developments and trends in the sports industry, providing proactive advice and recommendations to the management team.
Collaborate with FIFA's legal team to maintain consistency in legal interpretations.
