About the Role

JOB SUMMARY
The Ladies Professional Golf Association (LPGA), headquartered in Daytona Beach, FL, is currently seeking a summer semester intern to support the Legal department.

The Role: This is a 10-week program from June 10th through August 15th.
Working hours: Monday-Friday, 9:00 AM through 5:00 PM EST
Location: Remotely or a hybrid schedule (on-site 2-3 days per week at the Daytona Beach Office).

*LPGA does not provide any form of relocation/housing assistance. Once hired, it will be up to the individual selected to find accommodations for the duration of the program if they would like to choose the hybrid schedule option.

The LPGA legal team works closely with various departments, including the Foundation, Tour Operations, Sales & Partnership, Tournament Operations, IT, Media, and Marketing and Communications. The legal department identifies business and legal concerns related to a variety of transactions and projects and helps create solutions to such business and legal challenges. We also negotiate and draft various agreements (including sponsorship agreements, vendor agreements, licensing agreements etc.) for the above referenced client groups.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Under supervision of counsel, review, edit and draft a variety of contracts.
Research legal issues in the development of policies and procedures.
Create and present internal communications.
Research recent industry developments.
Attend meetings with internal LPGA business units.
