Duties and Responsibilities:


Perform legal research and draft legal memoranda
Manage a caseload of pending complaint matters
Lead staff on investigations and outcomes of disciplinary matters
Ensure fair and equitable enforcement of rules
Represent USEF in disciplinary matters involving members who have breached the Code of Conduct, USEF Safe Sport Policy, Equine Drugs & Medications rules, and other rules/policies
Represent USEF on appeals on competition date allocations
Comply with all hearing processes and timelines
Prepare all written pre-hearing statements, briefs, motions
Interview witnesses and prepare witnesses for hearing
Lead on post-administrative proceedings
Provide feedback on strategies to increase efficiencies, improve processes, and raise awareness as to how processes work
Ensure integrity, respect, and fairness all times while executing duties
Appreciate the USEF Mission and Vision, and Strategic Plan
Perform other duties and special projects assigned by the General Counsel
